Spotting Employee Dishonesty
A Guide to Recognizing Deceptive Behavior
We all want to think the best of our employees and none of us enjoy being lied to. Yet, if we spend enough time in the workplace, someone is certainly going to try to deceive us. Further complicating this matter is the fact that what many of us think of as indicators of deceptive behavior is often only half of the story, if not outright wrong.
Presented by a seasoned anti-fraud investigator, author and speaker, this session will dispel myths, uncover warning signs, and share the number one tip for detecting deception.
We will consider:
- Complexities of communication
- Inescapable biases
- Verbal indicators
- Non-verbal indicators
- Micro-expressions, and
- How to ask the right questions.
Through hard facts, school of hard knocks lessons and real life experiences, our speaker will help you in your efforts to avoid being deceived.
